The tapestry combines two different styles of Kazakh handicraft culture: quilt - creating a composition from many small pieces, and alasha (kaz.) - combining multiple colorful lines. Both of these elements represent order in chaos, where the elements of different widths, lengths, and colors come together to form something whole, complete, and create a new order.
